Before & After Thrift Store Headboard redo with The Primitive Life Organic Milk Paint!

I was lucky enough to find this King Sized headboard at the thrift store for $30! I used The Primitive Life Organic Milk Paint in "Skillet" and transformed it into this picture perfect headboard for our new bedroom!

It was very simple! First I cleaned the headboard with warm soap and water and a sponge, just to get any germs off, I sprayed with Lysol...then lightly sanded it with medium sandpaper, wiped it down and painted. It took about 15 minutes to paint. After I let it dry for a couple of hours, I sanded it lightly in areas where I wanted it to look "distressed". That's it! Total time about 3 hours. If I can do it, anyone can!

Did You Know??

This is the EASIEST way to mix The Primitive Life Milk Paint!
Yes! Just take an empty, lidded jar ( Mayonaise, Spaghettei Sauce, Pickles...whatever!)
Measure out your milk paint powder, add water to desired consistency , replace the lid and SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE!!
No mess, stores unused paint and recycles your jars!

Another project from My Trinkets using The Primitive Life Milk Paint in Cornflower. This technique demonstrates how you can end up with a "washed" effect. I love it!

New Testimonial from renowned architectural restorer Dennis Higginbotham

Thanks to Dennis Higginbotham and Janet Spoerl of Evergreen Designs! Here's what they had to say about The Primitive Life Organic Milk Paint:

My wife, the creative force behind Evergreen Design, here in central Florida,... always wants to do something alittle different with a twist. One day she asked me to paint something with a product that looked like pancake mix to me............."Different", I said to myself, and she explained to me that this bag she was holding was actually paint........a product called "Primitive Life Organic Milk Paint." This was quite a change for me since I have been mixing my own paint and stains for years being in the refinishing business.

I must say that after using the "Primitive Life Organic Milk Paint, on the antique piece of furniture is was pleasently surprised and am definately sold! This paint is not only safe to use (I am a brain cancer survior due to all the chemicals I used in my business), but it can be mixed together, mixed with more or less water, giving the piece an old worn paint look. If you want a chippy paint finish, you can achieve that also. If you want a saturated color on a piece, that too can be achieved with this single product. "Primitive Life Organic Milk Paint" is the easiest paint that I have ever used with no prep ever required.

I strongly recommend "Primitive Life Organic Milk Paint" to both the professional and novice. There are many wonderful colors to choose from and the supplier gives each and every customer fabulous support.
